Retreats

At Expedition Ahimsa, we believe that travel is more than movement across land — it is a journey inward, toward clarity, connection, and compassion. It is a pilgrimage, an expedition into yourself and into the world.

Our retreats bring together sacred landscapes, natural wonders, meditative practices, transformative workshops, and intentional community. Each journey is crafted to help you slow down, breathe deeply, immerse in nature, and rediscover what feels essential.

A Retreat Rooted in Ahimsa

Ahimsa means non-harm, but also compassion, gentleness, and presence.
We travel with humility.
We tread carefully on the earth.
We honor local communities.
We choose sustainability and mindful consumption.
We cultivate inner presence to inspire outer awareness.

This is not just a retreat — it is a way of being.

Why Retreat With Expedition Ahimsa?

✧ Soul-Centered Travel

Every itinerary honors the spirit of a place — from ancient temples to remote trails, mountain villages to riversides. We embrace cultural humility, ecological respect, and mindful presence in all we do.

✧ A Space for Real Reset

You’ll step away from screens, schedules, and obligations — and step into reflection, wonder, and the real you. Every trip includes regular times and spaces for yoga and meditation.

✧ Community That Feels Like Family

Retreat groups are intentionally small. You are seen, supported, and encouraged. We practice shared meals, shared journeys, and shared humanity. You will make friends for life.

✧ Deep Study & Cultural Immersion

Our retreat leaders Prema & Manjari have spent years living in and studying most of the places we guide you into. Prema has a PhD in Global Environmental History and Manjari is an artist with an MFA focused on cultural hybridity. Every retreat includes regular sharing circles where you are provided with deep context, stories and histories, and the practices of cultural sensitivity in order to truly appreciate the experience.
